COBRAS' 'ALLEGED' SHOOTER GETS BAIL

JAMEEL Johnson, the 23-year-old man charged for shooting local Dancehall artiste Mad Cobra, was yesterday offered $150,000 bail when he appeared in the High Court.
Johnson, also known as ‘Spragga’, was offered bail following an application from his attorney Chris Tavares-Finson. The case against him will next be mentioned on July 17.

Johnson was arrested earlier this month following the May 11 shooting and injuring of Mad Cobra, whose given name is Ewart Brown.
It is being alleged that Johnson was among a group of men in Braeton, St Catherine, involved in the incident where the entertainer was shot several times.
But yesterday, Tavares-Finson said his client had never fired a weapon and that there were no statements given that had implicated him.
