DUDUS COURT DATE SET

THE hearing for the application of the judicial review filed by attorneys representing reputed Tivoli Gardens don Christopher 'Dudus' Coke will be heard on May 31.

The hearing was set for this afternoon but was postponed because Director of Public Prosecutions Paula Llewellyn — who is a defendant in the matter — was only served a summons just minutes before the hearing was set to begin.

On Wednesday lawyers for Coke filed a motion for the review of the Justice minister's decision to sign the authority to proceed with the extradition of Coke before Chief Justice Zaila McCalla.

The latest development means that security forces still have the authority to arrest Coke on sight as the warrant was not stayed by the Chief Justice.
