CARLOS HILL (CASH PLUS BOSS) HAD HIS DAY IN COURT
The Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court ruled yesterday that the case against former Cash Plus boss Carlos Hill will in September be transferred to the Home Circuit Court, where he will be tried on a charge of fraud. The matter is being transferred because the charge — under Section 28 of the Larceny Act — requires that the case be tried before a jury. If convicted, Hill could be sentenced to a maximum of seven years.
