A shortage of men in west Kingston is said to have caused female residents to be fighting for the affection ofsoldiers who are now posted in the community.
"A di same man dem weh dem did a seh a bomb dem up eno ...Yes mi dear, dem woman yah nuh easy, dem dung yah all a pop big fight ova di soldier dem now," one resident, who claimed to have witnessed one of the recent encounters, said.
1 female got jealous after seeing an 'enemy' of hers sitting and chatting with a soldier.
There was an altercation and both women argued openly as to who the soldier wanted, and even threw blows at each other. The soldier over who they were fighting reportedly had to step in to quell the fracas.
