The Government of Jamaica is to spend millions of dollars to repair buildings and other facilities that were damaged during last week’s gun battle in Tivoli Gardens and adjoining Kingston communities.
THE application for a Judicial review filed by lawyers seeking to prevent the extradition of wanted fugitive Christopher 'Dudus' Coke to the United States, has been delayed again.
Confirmed: A police source said the cops were interested in a sports utility vehicle which was suspected to have been featured in suspicious activity in Tivoli Gardens. However the cops discovered that the vehicle they were interested in was not the one at McKenzie's residence.
Confirmed: Extortionists are continuing to make demands on businessmen downtown, despite moves by the security forces to disrupt the gang which operates out of Tivoli Gardens. Gunshots were exchanged between police and gunmen in the Tavern AKA Hopeflats community in Papine Kingston 6 which is near the UWI Mona campus. The sustained exchange of gunfire was reported between 3:30 and 4pm.in the Payne Land community (off Spanish Town Road)...confirmed
Ambulances and a small contingent of security personnel are scurrying to the Tavern community near August Town, where a barrage of gunshots were heard earlier.
