The Canadian singer-rapper’s search for love takes him to Kingston, Jamaica, where he finds the beautiful Maliah Michel. The only problem? She’s already taken. A Jamaican gang, led by dancehall artist Mavado, is in hot pursuit of Drizzy, and in the end, only one man can have her heart. Who will bite the bullet?

ALTHOUGH I LIKE THE SONG, BUT THE THEME OF THE VIDEO LEAVES MI FEELING RATHER DISTURBED. WHY THE GUN PLAY AN MOVADO AS A DON. MOVADO COULD PLAY ANOTHER SINGER OR DJ... JAMAICA IS ALREADY STIGMATIZED BY VIOLENCE, WE NEED UPLIFTING MUSIC AN VIDOES.
ReplyDeleteI CAN'T BELIEVE THAT'S THE WAY THEY VIEW US, IS THIS WHY THEY CHOSE MAVADO 2 DO THE VIDEO BCUZ HE'S JAMAICAN...EVERYWHERE U GO N MENTION JAMAICA THEY THINK VIOLENCE, THIS NEEDS 2 BE CHANGED
ReplyDeleteSweet I totally agree, I was expecting Mavado 2 drop a verse on the track n ntn...being violent is a stereotype 4 all Jamaicans, it can't be reversed but if we minimize the violence moving fwd we can give the world a different view of us
ReplyDeleteWe are our own worst enemy.. trust me.
ReplyDeleteDo Jamaicans really realize the wealth of our culture and the levels would could take it without bowing to the sterotype pegged us with outside forces. We have game, people.. we just need to step it up. This is unacceptable.
