O’Neil Edwards Stable But Bullet Migrates To His Neck

According to news reports, Edwards was ambushed and shot repeatedly as he attempted to open his gate after returning to his Belloc Avenue home in Duhaney Park about 1:00 a.m. Reports are that two gunmen were seen running away from the scene, and there are several reports that he was shot at least five times. Doctors removed three bullets during an operation yesterday.

Oneil Edwards, one-third of the popular dancehall groupVoicemail, who was shot and seriously injured early yesterday morning at the gate to his house in Duhaney Park, remains in critical but stable condition at hospital at this time, after undergoing surgery yesterday. Reports indicate that the bullet in his head is fragmented, and as a result of this, his brain is severely swollen. Due to the delicate positioning of the bullet fragments, doctors are reportedly pondering their next move.

Meanwhile the police are said to be looking for three ‘persons of interest’ who they believe will be able to assist with their investigations. While robbery was initially believed to be the motive, the police are reportedly looking into the possibility that Oneil’s shooting stems from an altercation that took place over a month ago.




There is also bleeding in his brain but doctors believe that will stabilize eventually. He also lost a finger. Continue to pray.

2 STUDENTS GOT INTO A FIGHT OVER THEIR BOO THE PRINCIPAL

The principal of a high school in St Thomas is being accused of having sexual relationships with his students, THE STAR has found out.




She told THE STAR of an incident in March this year, in which two female grade-11 students got into a fight, reportedly over the principal. She said the day before the fight, one girl had called the other to tell her that she was involved with the principal and would be dishing out a hearty beating the other day. It is alleged that the principal was made aware of the plans for a fight and reportedly called both girls and told them not to attend school. That warning, however, was not heeded and, as promised, there was a fight in the school library.


HE STAR was also told that on one occasion, a female student was caught in a compromising position in the principal's office during sports day. It is alleged that the child was caught "fixing her blouse" when someone walked into his office without knocking.
When THE STAR contacted the principal, he distanced himself from such practices and claims persons may put forward the allegations because he has good relationships with his students. He also claimed the allegations were new to him.
"I am a man of morals and I would never have a relationship with a student of mine. I am not the type of principal who acts as if I'm too much a superior being towards my kids so I always try to be as friendly as possible while maintaining a certain level of professionalism," he said.

POPCAAN ARRESTED

Portmore Empire recording artiste Popcaan, was reportedly arrested and charged with possession of ganja last night.


According to reports, the police were on patrol in the Mannings Hill Road area of Kingston last night, when a vehicle was seen ’suspiciously’ parked up at a gas station. The occupants of the vehicle – Popcaan and another man – were seen smoking ganja spliffs, and were arrested and charged by the police. They were released on bail, and will appear in court later this month.
