TIVOLI RESIDENTS SAY "WE LUV DUDUS SAME WAY BUT WE HATE BRUCE, HIM SELL WE OUT"
Despite now undergoing what they describe as the worst days in their lives, residents of west Kingston say that absent area leader, Christopher 'Dudus' Coke, is still their hero.
"A Dudus wi seh same way and dat naw go change. Di world know seh if dem hold him dem ago kill him so wi understand seh him did affi leave di place," one resident told THE WEEKEND STAR yesterday, when media personnel were allowed a rather limited tour of Tivoli Gardens.
They say they blame their member of parliament Prime Minister Bruce Golding.
"Mi want uno ask Bruce if him neva know seh wi a criminal elements when him use to come down yah ... ," a resident said.
"If a neva fi him dem kill wi off long time, dis mek wi see dat. Oh God, wi a human being too, not because," said one 42-year-old resident. "Dem fi memba seh criminal deh everyweh but dem should a bear in mind seh innocent life dung yah to and it nuh fair how dem a deal wid people. That's why wi naw stop seh Prezi."
When asked about her member of parliament, she also said, "Him sell wi out big time and wi done wid him, it not even mek sense him come back roun ya."
