THE DIGICEL ROBIN HOOD WHO STOLE $10 MILLION DOLLAR WORTH A CREDIT GOING BACK 2 COURT NEXT MONTH
Philpott Martin, the 26-year-old college student accused of hacking into Digicel's mainframe and stealing approximately $10 million worth of call credit, is to return to court again on June 2.
Martin is charged with simple larceny.
Digicel's system
Allegations are that Martin was employed to Airtime Limited in Kingston and was assigned a user name to access the network. It is alleged that he accessed Digicel's system and transferred the credit. The court was told that further investigations are ongoing and the figure involved could be increased as investigators are still trying to gather computer evidence. Martin's bail was extended to return on the new date.
